With the ODA loan received from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Government of Tanzania plans to improve the Arusha-Holili Road to promote reliable and efficient international corridor and gateway to the northern region of Tanzania, thereby contributing to socioeconomic development of the region. The project consists of three packages: dualling of Tengeru-Usa River section (9.3 km) and Moshi Town section (8.4 km), construction of new Kikafu Bridge and approach road, as well as safety measures at the existing Kikafu Bridge.

The consulting services cover detailed design, construction supervision and facilitation of implementation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMoP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP). PADECO as a member of the Joint Venture undertaking the consulting services, is responsible for facilitating environmental and social safeguards by implementing EMP, EMoP, and RAP in compliance with JICA and Tanzanian standards. PADECO ensures adherence to safety, environmental, and operational quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
