Jordan’s National Employment Strategy (2011-2020) highlights the necessity of measures to improve employment levels among the youth, who comprise 70% of the population, yet a large proportion of whom remain unemployed. The reasons for the high unemployment rate among the youth stem from issues on both sides, from both job seekers and employers. In order to tackle these issues, PADECO has been implementing the project to strengthen the capacity for career counselling for the youth, supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency.
