Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, approximately 3,500 schools have been tragically destroyed and 3.6 million children lost the opportunity to learn. In order to secure learning opportunities and to alleviate stress of internally displaces children, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU) has been actively promoting online education and establishing Digital Learning Centers. This study for Ukraine encompassed a thorough examination of the status and challenges of educational services and needs. Additionally, a pilot project aimed at delivering mental health care knowledge to educational personnel in Ukraine was conducted, and officials from MESU were invited to Japan for one week, which provided invaluable insights for developing future initiatives and establishing collaborative frameworks.
