Promoting investment through enhancing the competitiveness of domestic companies in Jordan in exports and improving the business environment is crucial, as it is expected to contribute not only to the revitalization of industries with growth potential but also to the creation of employment opportunities. Additionally, the spread of COVID-19, which has become widespread globally since the beginning of this study, has brought significant changes to the economies and societies of all countries, including Jordan. Considering the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Jordan and surrounding countries, information on the situation caused by COVID-19 will also be collected and reviewed to reflect this in the concept and support direction for post-pandemic growth industries.

This study collected and analyzed fundamental information related to investment promotion and the development of trade-related industries in Jordan from the perspectives of: 1) potential for trade expansion, including the development of new markets, 2) identification of industries with growth potential, and 3) the business environment (trade promotion policies, investment incentives, systems, licensing procedures, etc.), and organized the current status and challenges related to trade promotion and investment promotion. PADECO was responsible for the overall decision-making and management of the study, as well as for trade promotion, market trends, business environment development, and industrial promotion. PADECO also identified and selected industries considered promising in the post-COVID era and formulated sectoral challenges and support directions.
